Road Width

To access this dialog:

Make sure string data is in memory, and that a string has been highlight. Then, select Applications | Open Pit | Road Layout Tools | String to Road. Select whether to keep the control string (click Yes or No) Then select how the control string should be used to design the new road string and click OK.

This dialog, the final step of the String to Road command, is used to determine the width of the new road at the start and end of the control string. The alignment of the road perimeter strings is controlled by settings made in the String to Road Control dialog in the previous step.

Field Details:

Width at Road Start: enter the width of the road at the start of the control string (note that the 'start' is determined by the order of the points of the control string).

You can alter the direction of a string, without changing its overall geometry, using theDesign | String Tools | Reversecommand.

Width at Road End: specify the width of the road at the end of the control string.
